Matt’s first delve into the world of electronic music was when he was 13 and he started 1 to 1 tuition at school learning to produce on Cubase 4. His mother then bought him a copy of Cubase 5 which he would practice on every day making music in his bedroom.

 

After leaving school, Matt went on to study Music Technology at Amersham & Wycombe College, this is where he made the valuable connection to Wired Masters on a self-planned weeklong work experience trip.

Matt then went on to study Digital Music & Sound Arts at Brighton Uni, working as a Sound Engineer at the 3000 capacity superclub ‘Studio 338’ in London during the summers and the small but notorious nightclub ‘The Arch’ in Brighton during term time.

​

Matt would be responsible for the monitoring of two rooms and an outdoor stage area during the summer months. This is where his journey into the world of Dance music engineering began, working with popular promoters such as: Sankeys, Defected, Space Ibiza, Solid Grooves and Drum & Bass Arena.

Matt quickly gained an impressive reputation for his bespoke tuning of the club sound systems relative to the type of music that would be playing that night. 

​

After finishing Uni, Matt went on to work at Wired Masters for 5 years, learning the art of Mixing and Mastering many different sub-genres of commercial dance music.

​

Since then, Matt has worked with major record labels such as: Universal, Warner Music, Sony Music and Atlantic US & UK and has personally worked with artists such as: Skrillex, Chris Lake, Chris Lorenzo, Riton and Dillon Francis.
